The biggest modification? The  F-150’s body is made out of aluminum. While it cost more than traditional steal, it can help save fuel over the long run because the new 2015 Ford F-150 will weigh approximately 700 pounds less than the current model, according to Ford. Other weight loss factors includes a frame made from high-strength steel.

Fuel economy has become a big factor for many shopping for a truck. In fact, about 40% of F-150 buyers are already choosing a more fuel efficient V6 engine over the traditional V8. To meet the needs of consumers, Ford has the EcoBoost engine, which is a V6 (and touts the fuel efficiency) but provides towing and hauling capabilities similar to the bigger V8.

Some of the new features offered on the new F-150 include a tailgate that can be locked, unlocked and released remotely and a camera system that assists in parking by giving the driver a view of the truck as if seen from above.
